About Emily

“The flower doesn’t dream of the bee. It blossoms and the bee comes.”

A graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, Emily joined the Broome Associates team in September 2006. She has held dual roles as both Personal Risk Manager and Project & Resource Manager and is now our Operations Manager. Emily gives back to the community through leadership and advisement. She is a proud participant of the inaugural Leadership 4D 360 program, part of the Leadership Network of the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce and an Innovate Catawba priority. Additionally, Emily enjoys volunteering on two community boards. She has been a board member of the Hickory Downtown Development Association since January 2016, an organization with the mission of physically and culturally improving downtown Hickory as a place of commerce, recreation and culture. Emily has also served on the advisory board of the Kappa Delta Sorority chapter at Lenoir-Rhyne University since 2008. The advisory board mentors and educates the young college women in the community and assists them through their philanthropies, including the Girl Scouts of America, Prevent Child Abuse America, and locally with the Children’s Advocacy and Protection Center of Catawba County. In her free time, Emily enjoys hiking with her dog Snoopy, spending time with family and friends, and reading.
